I have my first 10K of the year coming up in two weeks. On the day of the race I'll be four weeks removed from a PR marathon. The recovery is going well and I want to try and run as well as possible at this race. I'm realistic and know that I won't be peaked for this race or ready for a PR but I want it to be a solid effort to start my summer. Its a very hilly course.
Should I do some hills or track stuff to sharpen up before the race and if so, what kind of track work? I was averaging about 60 miles a week for the marathon with a weekly tempo run, long run and a lot of marathon goal pace work but nothing on the track or fast than 10K pace.
Thanks for the advice.
