Phylon: Lightweight CM-EVA. (Nike)
Maybe Phylon? I'll check the catalogs on Monday if I remember.
Probably some sort of EVA/air though.
they say phylon, but i think that's in reference to the single unit for outsole/tread and midsole. the term 'phylon' is also used to describe the spridon, which has is made of standard EVA.
the midsoles of the skylon and vapor are made of something else. it's much firmer (esp. the 2000 skylon) than average EVA, especially the typically marshmallowy soft nike midsoles.
and it's durable as hell. LaWoof logged 600+mi on the Air Streak Vapor before it was time to move on.
i'd love to find out what that material is.
another miler,
i was wrong -- it probably is phylon. i didn't think that spiridon had the same midsole material but it does.
Any pair of shoes you can't get 1000 miles on is a bunch of crap.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
