I've recently been inspired to try the simplest training plan (for base):
-Double as much as possible (a la Malmo)
-no run is more than a few miles longer than any other (i.e. no long run, also a la malmo)
-don't time or measure any runs: everything will be done by feel. If I feel good, I run more. If I feel bad, I run less.
-strides, tempos etc will also be done by feel.
essentially, I plan to just go out and run twice every day. somedays I will push, other days I will take easy (just like in any base training program) but I will never know how far I've ran, and will never make myself get in a certain amount of miles (per season, per week, per day, per run)
thoughts? I'm trying to make running something I do because I love it (I do), not something that I am constantly thinking about how I will get a great workout or run exactly 70mpw.
