i use endurox and i believe it works rather well. it helps me recover faster from workouts and steady runs. then again it could just be phychological, but ive been running better since i started taking it.
Endurox is awesome, I use it after all of my runs. The great thing about it is that it has a 4-1 carb to protein ratio so it gets to your muscles and helps them to recover quicker.
Anyone else feeling bloated after takin endurox r4? Makes me mad fat feeling.
I've been using for a about a year or so now and the biggest advantage to using that I can tell is that it's extremely convenient when having to rush to a class right after a workout. So instead of having that 'running on empty' feeling a couple of hours after a workout because of not getting a chance to eat anything, I'm good for awhile.
I've used Accelerade (same thing but 1/2 strength of Endurox). No noticable effect for me above just a normal workout drink, except much more expensive (I use kool-aid with 1/2 the normal sugar and a little salt- as good as anything else you'll find).
The 4:1 carb:protein ratio, widely heralded as optimal for recovery, is a weak claim. The original research was flawed, subsequent follow-ups haven't shown the same effect, and in no way was the 4:1 ratio shown to be superior to any other ratio (as it was the only ratio tested). Carefully read Ed Burke's book and you'll see what I mean.
I read about accelerade and endurox in an article in Outside magazine. My friends and I have been drinking both drinks for a year or so and all of us have had good results. I like drinking accelerad during my hard workouts and long runs, I'm always strong at the end, and am rarely passed late in long races.

Use it within 15-30 minutes after a hard workout or long run -as well as a glass before you go to bed. Your legs will recover so much faster than without. It is not performance enhancing -just helps recovery.
right...doesn't mean there isn'tsomething in there that will make u test positive. there is muscle building stuff in the drink...i think.
