MARATHONERS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH STUDY
The Human Performance Research Laboratory at Sacramento State University is conducting a study on the determinants of marathon running performance. We are looking for male runners who are racing the Cal International Marathon in December. We are looking for runners over wide range of performance from an elite marathoner up to an average marathoner. A documented sub 3:30 is required within the last 18 months. The study will require 2 visits to our laboratory where 3 exercise performance tests will be conducted: a test for VO2max, an exercise test of metabolism, and a test of speed/velocity. The tests are simple to perform and do not involve invasive procedures (no blood draws). To enroll in the study please contact Ann Koscki (amkoscki@hotmail.com) or Roberto Quintana, PhD (quintana@csu.edu).
