Ok... I have a different view to say about this whole drug scandal. I am hoping there are other people out there that have similar opinions or other well thought out answers.
To begin with I feel that a lot of people are venting or dealing with this situation in the wrong way. I myself don't get so mad but rather feel sad for these athletes. I am sure all of them started up in the sport with the same dreams and motivations that many of us had or still have. I believe the biggest problem is with the doctors and people supplying these athletes. In most cases the athletes are approached by these people which begins the whole cheating process.
In a country's where someone can get thrown in jail and lose everything for selling something minor like marijuana why not do the same to these doctors. Strip their license and throw them in jail. I bet if they made standards like that every doctor out there would start to question whether to help these athletes cheat. And why not, these drugs are hurting and killing athletes all the time.
I just hope everyone out there can chill for a second. Not everyone out there is cheating and running dirty. I am a guy who is currently still training after college to see how good i can get. My goal is to run around 3:54... not a super fast mile but for me it would be great. However more talented runners out there if they work hard and develop could run 3:50 or so. But this doesn't mean he is doping.
I just think people should be more optimistic and support rather then always jumping to conclusions and tearing down our athletes. And for f%$k sakes leave Webb alone. That kid has more pressure on him then anyone else in the US and he is still young. Leave him alone and then watch him run 3:50 or faster.
