interesting prespective
they should take here to court .
Just wondering...
Suzy ran 3:57 and broke 4 numerous times.
Regina barely broke 4, once, yet invariably finishes ahead of Suzy in races.
Is that because of the drugs?
Maybe they make her smarter or something.
Or could it be that Regina is the better runner.
Likely that Reggie was the better runner because of the drugs.
Could be that Regina has extra rage from the drugs and she harnesses it to have a stronger kick...
And therefore.... 4:01 is faster than 3:57.....
Oh yes that must be it then.
Well, there's no doubt that from a psychological point of view, Regina was a better competitor than Suzy... with or without drugs.
Without the drugs Regina was nothing special. Check out her NCAA years.
Wait a minute... are you telling me Regina's been doping... no way. I refuse to belive such a thing. Are you telling me the viens and ridiculous blood vessels popping out of her arms aren't caused by natural hard work. You are saying that even though she is 40 and has 2 percent body fat that this did not come naturally... wow.
I bet next you'll say Barry Bonds is doping up also. Wait...[quote]jack scott wrote:

Dear Regina,
Sorry, they raided our headquarters... they know.
Signed,

Dear Regina,
Go win the Olympics so we can finally bust you.

After reading the "Star-Telegram" story (see front page link), I was compelled to e-mail this to the author:
Where do I begin in my criticism of your hard-hitting journalism?
1. As a member of the media, do you actually follow stories in the media? If so, you would have realized that just a few days ago, it was released that Regina Jacobs has tested positive for the designer steroid THG. That's a fairly important point to neglect when including her in your list of "three winning women of the Title IX generation who are proving that 40 is just a number."
2. On a minor note, the indoor World Championships took place in March - not in the summer. See, they typically hold indoor meets during the colder time of the year.
I usually complain about not hearing enough about running and track & field in the media, but if this is the quality of journalism that I should expect, I'll take what I can get elsewhere. But thanks for the laughs, the quotes from Regina are kind of funny now, aren't they?

They got you to laugh, and they got you to write to them.
What more could they ask for. : )

was severly anemic
I, too, felt compelled to write to the editor:
Editor: Regarding your article in Sunday's Living section about female athletes going strong after 40: you do realize that Regina Jacobs tested positive for illegal performance enhancing steroids days before your article ran? Praising drug cheats is not responsible journalism. Please be more careful next time.
I mean, really, everyone knows she's on drugs, why did she drop out of the Olympics?...? respitory infection? please, that happens when you're food goes down the wrong way, you don't skip the fuggin olympics cause of it. She's a big fat cheat, she keeps getting better each year, up to 40????? and she looks like Sammy Davis Jr.

Jacobs always beats Suzy at Nationals, true, but over the past few years, Suzy has owned her in european races. That's why Suzy has been ranked # 1 in the US 4 out of the last 5 years. Regina the better runner? God I hope her positive test puts that argument to rest at last.

What are their win - loss records?
From race results it looks she owns her behind.

It's interesting that you hope people take drugs.
Is that some kind of an anti-drug stance.
Right now, I am not sure who I would rather see slither into the night and never appear again Regina or Dunes Runner. What a terribly uninformed, undereducated, naive, immature person. This denial thing with Regina is wearing thin on the other thread and now this one. She did it, many of us have been positive of it for years, the fact that she is using is of no surprise, she just finally got caught. There are so many of us praising god that she is finally going to be seen for what she is. She cheated, she has been cheating for atleast 6 years now. Suzy is immaterial in this discussion, she is clean and does things the right way. The only thing sadder than what Regina did(classless) is people like you here defending her and lashing out at her rivals in a sad attempt to make Regina look like anything but a cheat. Unfortunately the only thing you are accomplishing with your rants is that you are able to redefine the word idiocy with each new post on this topic.
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
