Hey, ive been thinking about summer running for a while now. I was wondering if you had any suggestions or comments about what I would like to do. I am taking a week off of track and will resume running next monday. I am a HS Sophomore and my PR last year was low 17's but I would like to run 16:00 or 16:15 this year. I am making a mega plan for the summer and starting next week I have a regimen that will build up to 74 miles/week on the week starting June 9th. So this is going to be what I'm doing around the middle of the summer. All miles are supposed to be around 7:00 pace.
Mon-6 AM/7 PM
Tues-6/7
Wed-5/5@LT Pace(~6:00)
Thurs-6/7
Fri-6/7
Sat-12
Sun-Optional Run/Cross Training.
After ever run I will stretch well and hopefully 4-6 ice baths a week. Any comments about pacing and mileage will be much appreciated. Thanks.
