Did anyone bother to click on the "media inquiries can be directed here" link on the home page under the quote of the day?
You gullible, gullible FOOLS.

On that topic, what about the Bruce Hyde article? Is that one actually legit? Because I remember him coming on here a few months ago and saying in pretty basic terms that he was through with serious running.
Everything above the World XC links is bogus.
When asked about what to do about the poor performances of U.S. distance runners Knight reportedly offered this advice "Shut up and run!"

Did you start the thread or just take the idea?
This would be just fine by me. Awesome April Fool, wish it were true. Just for the PR value alone it would have great value. Would love to see say, Fam and Bobby going head to head. Nice work starting the rumor a few hours early to give it that added bit of plausibility.
Only the cycling story is vaguely ammusing. I've never heard of Bobby Knight, think this one goes over the head of non-US readers.
How many of you knew that Bobby Knight got into more trouble for assaulting a police officer in the 1979 Pan American Games? The ability to coach youngsters who throw balls through a hoop is no excuse for tolerating an uncontrollable temper.
i call bs
I heard he was up for the VP spot under hot head McCain.
Apparently the link in the article for press inquiries didn't tip every one off, the Arizona Republic, Phoenix's main newspaper reported the story in their what's cooking section. I can't find a link in the online edition, but I rewrote it word for word below
On the front burner is Bob Knight: Hall of Fame Basketball coach reportedly is a finalist to lead USA Track & Field-seriously. Evidently, he once coached track at a middle school.
On the back burneris Dave Wottle: Guess who was the start of Knight's middle school team? That's right the 1972 Olympic gold medalist, 12 at the time.
Is Bobby Knight still married to Jackie Joyner?
