On Friday I ran 1.6 x 3 at about 11-12 minutes. It wasn't too bad, though I was breathing a little loud (tempo pace). My calves were sore (build up over the week and I'm trying to switch to minimalism), so I took Saturday off. Sunday, I ran easy 1.5 miles but my legs felt heavy, etc. so I just stopped and did some plyometric exercises.
Today I ran 1200 x 3, extremely slow =/. My splits were 6:13, 6:35, 6:30. When I was running the whole time, my legs felt heavy and I felt like I was "skidding", and my breathing was kind of loud, but main thing I noticed was my legs felt heavy and each step forward felt heavy (like I was dragging myself). My stomach also hurt a bit afterwards (and during the run), I'm not sure I don't think I'm running huge mileage, I'm not sure why I would feel so bad and run such bad times for a 1200 (not even a mile) =/.
Anyone have any ideas, etc.? I feel like I'm getting the right nutrition in terms of vitamins, vegetables, fruits, calcium, iron (not 100% sure about this, connection maybe?) etc. My first meet is in 10 days, and I don't want to be running 8 minute miles there =/. Thanks for the help!
