I am trying to regain my former fitness after 3 months off without much cross training. I still have some fitness but I would like to know how I can best get back to where I was (4:20 miler).
I want to do as much as I can but am worried about coming back too quick and getting injured again. What is the best way to get fitness back after a peroid of time off? I'm not worried about track seaon, I jsut need to get back in shape for XC at university. Sould I start doubling? (I'm a 40m/w runner usually)
Any help would be great.
