Every year at the Millrose games my buddies and I bet each other on who will win the HS boys mile. I'm looking for some inside info. Who will take it down tomorrow night at the Millrose games? Why do you think so?

I am sure that the runner who runs the fastest time will win.
You heard it here.
Robby Andrews ran a 4:12 mile a few weeks ago with a 27 second last 200. He also ran a 50 in the open 400 recently on what I presume was a flat 200m track. He's got nasty speed
longershots Merber Greany
picks McNally Lane
could be Smith Smith
but what do I know about milers ?
Thanks for the info. How tall is the kid? I found from watching the races throughout the years and running on the boards myself that the track favors shorter runners. The track is less than 200 meters with steep banks so it's hard for taller guys to really open up. Should be a great race.
Just my two cents...McNally and White are the top two contenders in the boys race if the event was held during outdoor. However, neither athlete has really raced much yet. Guys like Smith, Andrews and Merber are the tri-favorites since they have all run very well, won some big races, and are race ready.
In the girls race I would say it will either be Jillian Smith or Hannah Davidson. Kristin Reese won a big meet a few weeks ago, but is really inconsistent. Smith won the Reebok Boston Indoor meet last weekend in 4:48, which is the top time in the country right now.
MileSplit (www.milesplit.us) is supposed to have a good preview available later today.
the kid from orange county VA should be there instead of peter dorrell...the kid has run 2:30 1000 this year.
2:30 is a good performance for highschool but not good enough to win milrose...even if it is the HS heat

Peter Dorrell has been fantastic all year though, he was great in xc, and also ran a 9:06 last weekend in addition to several solid mile times.... the guy from OC is good, but not good enough
at that, I think Dorrell wins, Smith for the girls
Charles White is rounding into form. Just wanted to go on record. Ciao
the track doesnt favor shorter runners. it favors smart runners. dan mcmanamon is 6 3 and he won becuase he was smart about it. im betting on a slow early pace with a very exciting last 300 meters
charles white is the only one in the field with track experince (though he did not run it last year he did as a sophmore)

who'd you end up going with?
I PREDICT MY LOVER, MERBZ <3!!
Merber figured out how to run it. The average winning time is around 4:16 so depthwise this is a good graduating class.
Yessss I knew all along that Merbzie would win <3
