I thought I had heard a rumor about Boaz becoming a citizen several years ago. Thanks for the update on that. Is there any chance USATF would let him run the trials if he looked like he was on track to be a citizen before the games but not before the trials?
fairly certain you have to be an american citizen to run the trials. and it's not like we're particularly desperate for a guy like boaz to run. he's a good runner and a nice fellow but, even if he did run, he's no guarantee to make the team. i'm not a huge fan of bending rules and boaz certainly wouldn't be one to make me want to. i would think usatf wouldn't want to go down that path, either.
