I'm pullin for Carroll too. Nicest guy you will ever meet.
What time eastern is the start?
1010 pm eastern the race starts.
I believe that splits for the top runners may be updated here, too.
Just in case you want their numbers to go with what you're watching. Thanks in advance, zatopek.
Hey, Zatopek! It's been a while... How's Japan? We're getting dumped by 12' of snow here in MN! I did my weight training in a form of shovelling!
I'll try to chip in by checking out some of the Japanese sites. It hasn't been that great in the past couple of years but we'll see what I can do.
It's a pity that Tergat dropped out. It looks almost like Japanese federation made this race more of a Japanese trial race instead of getting too many foreign runners. Nevertheless, with Fujita, Takaoka, Sato, Aburaya, with Wanjiru's first marathon, it would be a very exciting race.
Hey Nobby, I am glad you are here. I have missed you the past couple of races. It should be a great race.
Sorry, Zatopek! I was out of town for Tokyo women's marathon and, for Osaka WC, I was too busy checking out myself. Tosa-chan did great! Yeah!!
The WCs were great. I went every day and got home late very night. It was a great week.
So who was she? ;o) Besides that Swedish hurdler, that is!!! ;o)
Should be starting in 10 minutes or so??? So 524 runners altogether? Wow... I remember when Shorter was winning it year after year, there were about 100.
Yes she was beautiful and nice too!!
The big Japanese threats are
Takaoka 2:06:16
Fujita 2:06:51
Aburaya
Sato
It just started
