Those hard working folks at USATF and all those great Association hanger-ons are going to Hawaii for some serious business.....Funny, a good number of Associations do not even hold open/masters CC meets or Track&Field meets, but they can find the time to spend lots of Association money to go to Hawaii! Do not worry however, it will not be all busy work for Richard Lutes of the Dakotas, James McKee of Kentucky who have only Memberships: 332 (minimum standard is 600 Clubs: 7 (minimum standard is 16)
Sanctions: 36 (minimum standard is 20), etc. When will the National Office finally enforce the minimum standard??
This year's Annual Meeting features a formidable lineup of ceremonies, receptions, and breakfast activities - most of which are included in the basic registration package. Thursday Night Welcome Reception - November 29: This is your chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones. After a full day of meetings, this is a good time to unwind. In addition to the fitness facilities available for a charge to hotel guests at the Sheraton, USATF is pleased to provide group running and walking sessions during the Annual Meeting in Honolulu. Alan Roth, Chair of the General Competition Division and of the Associations Committee will organize those interested in a morning run, and Darlene Hickman, Special Advisor to the President, will organize those interested in a fitness walk. Pace groups will be formed within each group.
Both activities will be held on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday mornings beginning at 6:15 a.m. HST. Please meet Alan and Darlene at the Sheraton pool for your morning exercise in Hawaii.
