I have heard of OT qualifiers who have only run around 15:00 for 5k, but who is the slowest? Anyone ever run slower than 15 for 5k and still be able to make the OT's?

Also, anyone know who the oldest qualifier has been?
Who was the fattest qualifyer?
Who is the qualifier who wrote the most mellifluous sonnet?
I'm run 18:00 and 2:19

Well i guess you broke your "PR" of 18:00 8.5 times in a row with a 17:35/5K pace during that mary....right?
PLEASE tell me, what is your secret???!!!???

Spend some more time running and less posting BS.

The 15;11 is a Centre College record and I sure wish someone would beat it just to take my name off the record book.

Must hurt to be an 'Olympic hopeful', and to get your ass whooped by a girlie...
I was just wondering what all of your PR's are. I guess you are all going to the OT's. Leave the guy alone he is good.
I RAN 14'45, AND 2'10'42 IN ROME 10 YEARS AGO
14'45 ON THE TRACK, 14'20 ON THE ROAD.......
So, Dosantos,
What kind of training do you do in order to maximize your lack of speed? You must be doing something right to get so fast at the marathon but not be fast in the short distances. Share you training, please. Thank you!

Don't underestimate the significance of accelerating during each of those 8.5 times.
Don't know about guys over 15:00, but Ian Thompson of Great Britain ran 2:09:12 (I think it;s :12) with a 5km best of 14:05.
Wow, that is a big difference. His 14:04 for the 5k is about equvalent to a 2:15-16 marathon. Ian Thompson's 2:09:12 is a ration of 1 to 9.17. I know that Kenny Moore had a p.r. for the 5k in about 13:47 and ran 2:11 for the marathon which is a ratio of 9.37. A normal ratio is about 9.67 or greater. A smaller difference is impressive!

What are Radcliffe's times??? This sounds pretty slow for someone who likes to make out like they're fast...

To be fair, 2:18.28 is pretty darned fast, no matter how well Radcliffe has done.
Kevin Collins: Rarely if ever breaks 15 but his last marathon was 2:16.

No, 2:18 is insignificant, and laughable coming from someone who claims he will take on the World Record holder...
2:18, on the other hand, would be promising from someone who'd shut their trap about it, and got on with trying to improve on it, without trying to debase the performances of those who are clearly much more gifted than them (even if they be women!).

Centre has a guy that has played soccer for the past three years and is running cc and track his senior year. he might have a chance to do it. I think he will be able to do low 15's come track time. His name is Colin Muehlenkamp
