I noticed that Weldon and Robert both went to St. Mark’s School of Texas, the same school as Luke Wilson. My friend keeps telling me that Luke Wilson was a 1:51 guy in high school. Can anyone help me with this?

Use the "search" function to "find" your own answer.
He was on Letterman the other day and he talked about his high school track coach briefly. I kept waiting for Dave to ask him is he was any good as a runner, but he never did.
Word on the street is that he was closer to 1:56...and by the way that high school coach was none other than the venerable JK.
1:54.99, if this site is correct--
...and 49.86 in the 400.
Wow, and take a look at who's got the record in the Pole Vault.
Wejo, did you run at the Texas Relays in 92? In the 3200m? I know that's where Hawkins set his mark.
Very impressive. He is also on the school records for the 4 x 4 and 4 x 800, and top 5 for the 4 x 2.
Look at the list of all-time top runners for the 1600 and the 3200 meters at St. Mark's. John Kellogg is the number two performer in the 3200, and he coached the other four guys on the top-five list. As for the 1600, Kellogg coached the first four guys on that all-time list. And Kellogg would be in the top 10 for the 1600 if the list went that deep. He ran 4:27 for the mile, I believe.
(And by the way, this is an all-boys school with about 80 students per grade.)
He's also really, really ridiculously good-looking. His movie career isn't going too well right now so he should get back to running.
Luke has a brother named Owen. He runs the mile.

Must be the droopy eyelids.
I was on the St. Mark's team in Luke's days and kept up with SM track for a long time.
A few points about that link to the top times:
The 1:54.93 by Jeremy Downs was a hand time at the Bishop Lynch Invite, so it's a 1:55.0. Luke's time was FAT at the UTA Open, so it's still superior.
The 4 x 8 time was hand-timed and should be 8:04.2, or 8:04.34+ if you're comparing it to FAT.
Luke was strictly a 400-800 guy and was coached more by the head guy Jerry Reese than Kellogg, who worked with the distance guys along with a Spanish teacher named Jeff Cole, who ran low 15s, middle 31s and a 2:32 marathon. Reese was a 48/1:56 guy in high school himself and was pretty good with the flat track events, especially relays.
The L. Wilson on that 4 x 2 team was a guy named Larry Wilson. You can see that 4 x 2 is from 1980, so Luke wasn't in high school yet.
Tyler Cooper, who's on the 1,600, 3,200 and 4 x 8 lists, is the son of Dr. Kenneth Cooper of Aerobics fame.
Some of the marks aren't up to date. A guy named Shawn Schmidt jumped 6'11" in 2006. He's a decathlete at Texas now and scored in the Big 12 with 7,200 and something. In fact, he was the number one high school decathlete in the country as a senior at SM. A guy named Sam Acho broke the shot put record this year (57'9"?) and has the discus mark too.

Must be. After all, it was my long-time crush on a certain other droopy-eyed guy that led to my introduction to Luke Wilson:

Oh, man! Bad Blood is one of the funniest X Files ever! The way the two agents see each other's viewpoints and mannerisms is great. And Luke's teeth and moronic hick character in Mulder's "trying to take the good-looking sheriff down a notch" version are outrageous! "Y'all mus' be the guv'mint people." Mulder's reaction, kind of imitating the buck teeth while smiling at what a non-threatening male the sheriff turned out to be, is priceless. But Scully is still dreamy-eyed in spite of the massive teeth and hopelessly thinks she's getting somewhere with the uninterested and clueless sheriff. At one point, Mulder says they're looking for signs of vampiric activity and Luke says, "Which'ud be like, uhhhh?" with a lazy Texas drawl and those teeth sticking out a mile. When the teen vampire Ronnie pulls up, the exchange is so Texan:
"Howdy, Sheriff!" (squeaky voice)
"Oh hey, Ronnie. How's it goin'?" (reeeally lazy drawl)
"Cain't complain."
"Well, awwright, then."
Then Ronnie drives off and that's the extent of the conversation - exactly like folks in a laid back small Texas town.
Then later, as Mulder is being dragged by the runaway RV while holding onto the ladder, Luke says, "Go own, bird dawg it! Attaway!"
Of course, in Scully's version of events, Luke is the handsome cowboy type with Southern charm who removes his hat and says "ma'am" in the presence of a lady and cuts in on Mulder to flirt with her.
There's a little bit of both those characters in the real Luke. He's a damn funny guy when he wants to be.
i think luke wilson ran at occidental college(traditionally good/solid d3 program).
Jeff Cole lives in Tucson, where he teaches Spanish and plays piano with a jazz band on weekends. He goes to Mexico whenever he gets the chance. He recently stumbled into George Young, 1968 Olympic bronze medalist in the steeple chase, while in Baja California.
in the movie bottle rocket in the bedroom of luke's character there are a bunch of xc/track numbers hanging up on the wall, could be a coincidence or perhaps its because he was/is really into running
It's definitely one of my favorite X-Files episodes, and I have seen every episode at least twice. Yes, I know I am a nerd, but that was the best show ever (until Mulder left anyway).
No scholarship limits anymore! (NCAA Track and Field inequality is going to get way worse, right?)
