Yea that will be a quick turnaround especially since Laussane is going to be a burner. I've always noticed in NCAA running that guys doing the mile the day before a 3k often do well. Maybe we'll see something similar.
Further proof that he had a truly off day in the 1500 final. He can handle the speed he was dishing out, he was just off his game. Way better than Kerr and Cole

he went for the wr, but theres a reason hue and everyone else uses pacers. he knew he was risking exactly what happened btw he's only run faster then cole did twice
3:28.24 def the fastest ever without a rabbit, just not good enough when you're racing 3;27 guys
when el g did the make it too fast and bleed em strat in 1999 he used a teammate as a rabbit, too bad for jakob nordas would never

No he was 100%, he just chose the wrong tactic and did it the wrong way (54 high opening rather than 56).
Holy Moly, really. This man is in such good shape right now and he's frustrated about that 1500.
I've watched track a long time and I've never seen someone so thoroughly destroy and Olympic 5,000 field. Not Bekele or Farah or Kipchoge or Cheptegei or Aouita or Viren. Most 5ks have been won in a late sprint. He literally looked like he toyed with a field that had a 12:36 5k runner and there is a reason Cheptegei and Kiplimo wanted none of this.
Last year when he lost the 1500 he of course won the 5k and then crushed in the later meets and had that 3:43/7:23 in less than 24 hours and destroyed the 2,000m world record.
I believe in the next few weeks he is going to destroy the record books, 1500 and mile!
