Why on Earth did Ethiopia pull Kejelcha out of this race...
Fear of Jakob
But this is very good news for Grants medal chances. Same for Grijalva.
They understand they dont have a chance for the Gold, and hence rather focus on next races

Grant's focus was the 10 the 5 is just a bonus he will still be 5th at best despite the suspicious drops by Ugandans. I can relate to Cheptegai's drunken injuries in celebration but I'll acknowledge it's just stupidity/degeneracy at the end of the day.

This is just sad, 5000 is way more hype than 10000

It was always going to be a walk in the park for Jakob. He is probably the best 5k runner in the world, he is in world record shape in that event also.

Because they have Gebrhiwet who is faster than Kejelcha in the 5k and they could pull in two youngsters that Will keep the high pace for Hagos.

Yeah lol because Kejelcha wouldn't keep a high pace and definitely isn't known for frontrunning. 0/10
Real answer is because someone high up in the eth federation is really dumb or more likely had some problem/debt with some coach. Shady stuff but there's no other explanation with a 12:38 guy in the shape of his life.
Glowing.

Yes same as tonight i guess. A lovely and warming walk in the park with Kerr holding his hand and finishing first.
Kiplimo is the most overrated runner of the past 5 years. People talk about him as if he's a Kiptum level talent but he barely ever shows up and when he does he just doesn't win.
Can't someone else Ugandan jump in? Does it not work like that?
Disappointing. Would've liked to see Cheptegei take Jakob on.
You have a strange definition of things. He's 2x XC World's winner, and current holder of the HM WR.
has there been an explanation as to why they've dropped?

Not completely recovered from the 10

That's literally nothing relative to the hype around the guy. There are at least 5 runners who could break the HM WR tomorrow, it is completely irrelevant.
