0.108 reaction time
0.009 faster and he doesn’t get bronze
0.108 reaction time
0.009 faster and he doesn’t get bronze
So he had a great reaction.
He really stepped up.
I think he did great!
Let’s get the stick around.
My first thought was holy crap that's an amazing start for him
Sounds more like he reacted to the gun well. Fred doesn’t have a history of false starts unless the blocks suck.
I am more amazed how being a 400m runner Kerley still never messed up in his start
only move when that gun go off. easy.
fantastic start, bought himself a 0.06s lead on Kishane and Lyles with that reaction that he was able to hold to Bronze
If he starts with Lyles, he gets 5th
Probably because he was looking focused and visualizing the race beforehand. Compared to jumping around and roaring like a lion like 1st and 2nd did.
Fred ran a perfect race for him to get 3rd at the Olympics after having a crappy start to season is another feather in a legendary career.
Who sponsors Kerley now? He didn’t fall apart and is racing well.
Not exactly a glowing endorsement to not jump around.

Interesting that there hasn't been many (any?) 0.100 second based reaction time dq's or recalls since the 2022 world championships. Is the equipment being calibrated differently?
Nicely done Fred!
Out of curiosity, can World Athletics definitively say he didn’t anticipate the gun at .108?
0.1 just seems too clean of a number so say that anyone faster MUST have anticipated the gun and someone equal to or slower MUST NOT have..
In all likelihood, he false started and was lucky it overlapped the legal window,

Watching the replay camera from the Lane 9 view, I thought that Jacobs caught a little bit of a flyer as well.

If he has bad genetics, he doesn't get to the O-show.
