I bought super shoes from Nike in a sale a while ago. I was planning to wear them for a half marathon in September. So far I’ve just walked around the house in them a bit. They have a very different feel, kind of like walking on stilts. I’d like to do some training miles in them, but I don’t want to wear them out and not get any benefit on race day. Does anyone have any advice on how best to use super shoes in training before a race?
Also, I will have a goal pace for the half marathon, but I’m expecting the super shoe to make me quicker. Should I go out at goal pace in the race and go quicker toward the end, or should I go out a bit quicker because I’m wearing super shoes?
