she's doing her first big training block at altitude. really curious how this helps her moving forward. Elly Henes, Hannah Steelman, and Rachel Smith will make good training partners.

Proof?
she posted photo in her Instagram stories of the "welcome to flagstaff" sign (although maybe there's a "welcome to flagstaff" sign in Raleigh)

Elly is moving back to NC to train with KT. So it’s the opposite

difficulty understanding what "altitude camp" means?

So who is calling the shots on training now? Henes and Smith are coached by Mike Smith - will Tuohy just tag along with them pr does Laurie Henes have input? If she is heading off to Europe in maybe a month, would think this is a relatively short stint in Flagstaff. Maybe just a trial to see how it feels?

Steelman is also coached by Henes. Tuohy is likely still following Henes' plan I would guess. I don't know how much a short camp does for results but I am glad she is trying it.
Can we get a daily update of the training whereabouts of the 16 American women who have run faster than 15:07 in 2024? Thanks.
Since you asked I have seen no indications of the whereabouts of most of them so I assume they are in their home locations. A number (Schweizer, Morgan, Andrews, Wayment, Buchalski, DeLay, Donaghu) just ran in LA. Frerichs is injured. Nichols and Buchalski are scheduled to race in a mile in Raleigh 8/2. Smith and Henes are in Flagstaff as noted above. Valby seems to be in Europe trying to buy something on amazon. No idea on Halladay or Hasz - maybe you could take that on?

My son has been there since July 5th and he texted me earlier this week that he ran into her at NAU.
How long does it take for altitude training to become beneficial? I believe she stated in an interview that she was racing again later this summer in Europe.
