Given Sydney's speed in the 400m and strength from the 400m hurdles, could she get the 800m world record? I am basing this on my performances at 50.6 400m and 1:54.4 800m. Sydney is so much better than I was, I think with 2-4 years of dedicated training she could get it.
No I reckon faster. I was a 48, 400m runner with no endurance training and ran 1.59. She is similar 400 speed and a lot more endurance fit than me. I think 1.57-58 right now.

You think she could even sniff a Krashtokvilova record is delusional. That record is the most doped on the books. If WA has any spine it would have been removed a decade ago.

She could run a 1:53 tomorrow, if you disagree you're a hater. SML owns you.
Yep just like Warholm and Benjamin could move up and jog 2 49s to crush 1:40 right?
We have at least one example of a runner who transitioned well. Brandon Johnson ran a 10.41 100m in high school age 17 in 2002.
He went to UCLA and focused on the hurdles for 10 years with his best time being a 48.59 400mH in 2005. He ran his first 800m ever, in college, finishing in 2:02.
In 2012, at age 27, he started training for the 800m. In 2013, he ran 1:43 and made the world championship team.
I’m not saying every 400m hurdler can be elite at the 800m, but you would be surprised with what event specific training can do.

That is what I am thiniking. Not now, but in a few years with specific 800m training.
Why don’t people understand 400 and 800 are completely different. Some people can excel at both but many can’t. If they don’t run both currently you can accept it’s unlikely they’ll be good at double the distance they are running in championships.100/200/400 have a bit more in common but 400m is quite a unique distance.
