16M. Took a 10 day break off running due to getting sick. Prior my mileage was 100km / week before dropping off into the 60s. After the break I did 2 weeks of 'easy' jogging, both weeks totally 60km each but my heart rate still remains quite high prior to getting ill. It was 5:30/km @ 135bpm -> 155bpm and 4:50/km @ 145bpm -> 170bpm. I don't have any upcoming races but did not expect to still be so out of shape after 2 weeks. My easy runs don't even feel easy and my heart rate spikes pretty easily. Is this normal and does anyone have any similar experiences? What should I be doing?
