Definitely strength based - vast majority of my work is tempo. Todays workout was a couple of tempo miles, a few mile effort 300s, one at 800 and then one slightly faster and one mfollowed by 3x 1000 tempo to close. Paces were 4:55-5:00 for tempo reps, 43-44 for mile effort 300s, and then 39.9 for the 300. I view the wind as a slight negative because it pointed from the 300 to go mark to the start of the 100, so the first ~160 was with it as a benefit but I had a headwind for the last 140. Felt hard but not all out. What does this signify I could run in a 400 and 800? Speed is definitely my weakness but I’ve been working on that some while focusing on my strengths, aerobic efficiency.
