Anyone know what's up with Penn State XC? Do they have any top conference runners in 5K or 10K events? I'm just thinking that a school with so much money could have a better XC squad if they would choose to support it...

I might go google conference results and see if I can find out.
As a collegiate runner who has several friends that either currently run at PSU or have spent time on the team, I can tell you that the distance training is fairly reckless there. High intensity, not many rest days, and also coaches who’d rather see immediate results rather than progression. Injuries are not uncommon whatsoever. Add that to the party culture and somewhat toxic team environment, I’m not surprised that PSU doesn’t provide results in comparison to other Power 4 programs.
