to choose their candidate? They’ve known for a long time that Biden boy has dementia. Are they trying to skip democracy?
I don't know for sure as civics/government is not my forte, but I think this is the process. If the incumbent steps down the VP is the candidate. If you want to not have Harris be the candidate, then you have to go through a voting process. I think that's the general way it works.

That's not the process. The nominee will be decided at the convention by a vote of the delegates. Harris is the frontrunner but she's not automatic because she's the VP candidate.

Correct, process stays exactly the same. And Biden did not step down. He said he WILL step down. I frankly don't care since it's going to be her regardless. Butthurt Trump lovers want another D primary. They should mind their business.
No. A party can select a candidate anyway they feel like. If a candidate feels like they weren’t given a fair chance they can try another party or go it as an independent. The primary process has proven disastrously terrible recently at producing accomplished candidates who can support a coherent party platform, appeal to the middle and maintain a reasonable level of unity. I’d welcome a lot less democracy in the nomination process.
They should whip up some online voting for registered Democrats. Not by state. But nationwide.
Select 16 candidates. Have an online vote next week. Top 8 move on in a vote the week after that. Then 4. Then 2. Then have a vote on those 2. Then let the delegates go with that person or not.
That will quickly give the best idea of who the voters want. I never liked the idea of early states getting more choices and say.

Georgia Democrats are challenging efforts to place Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and three other candidates on the state’s presidential ballots It's part of a nationwide effort to block candidates who could siphon votes from incumben...
Which actually brings up an important legal question:
Will Democrats be able to get their chosen candidate onto ballots, or will the Draconian ballot access laws they have put into place in many states prevent them from doing so?

They will have no problems whatsoever.
You Trumpers begged for Joe to drop out. Now your candidate is the doddering old fool and you’re all flustered. How did you not see this coming.
GOP came up with Trump by having caucuses and primaries in a few deject early states, followed by more primaries in other states over several months until he had enough delegates.
The same way Biden was picked in 2020 as well as this year.
But there isn’t time to do that all over again before August 20.
They can easily do internet voting. Or formal polling. It's the same or better than the polling they did to push Joe into stepping down.

I guess democrats just won’t run anyone. 🤷♂️
You’re so smart to have figured this out when all the liberal elites that forced Biden out were not. The ballots will only have Trump, Kennedy, and no one else. What a bonehead move! Man, you’re smart. Also, you dad is proud of you, even though he never said it. Dis guy. You’re a good person who is really better than those girls.
