Advice please...
Lately I am struggling to train. Very often when I go out to run I am sluggish and I can't get the legs to turn over even to do a stride. It's like I'm wearing concrete boots. It's not a mind over matter thing because I find I am genuinely incapable of getting the legs to turn over, no matter how much I try. I am still doing some races and I find that if I rest enough my body suddenly has the energy on race day to get going and sometimes the performances are fine (by my standards). But in normal day to day training I just don't have energy in my muscles like I used to for speedwork or long runs. I don't know what is going on, whether it is overtraining or fatigue or some kind of mental blockage. I would be really keen to hear other people's advice on this as I'd prefer not to lose fitness.
