The idea that you people think the athletes you are comparing her to are clean is pathetic. These are the people you cheer for so credulously. The only question is will KT decide to compete as a pro and do the things the other top pros are doing.
Unfortunately for Thouy, 15:07 ain't what it used to be.
No, but it is also not 15:33 which was the result a month ago. And led from 2000 m to finish. So progressing well.
Great progress, esp compared to Allie Buchalski who placed 6th at the Trials in 15:12.87 and only improved to 15:12.55 tonight. Seeing her turn a string of 71-72s into 70-71s and closing in 68-69 by Sep/Oct shouldn't shock anyone.
She’s performing at 90% of her peak fitness of last year…which is good progress from the level she was able to perform just a few weeks ago, at the trials. In another few weeks/months she should be able to go sub 15 with 70/71 pace and closing in 65-68. She may get another shot at Valby in the post Olympic season. By 2025, if she’s healthy, she should be competitive with any of the top 5 US women and perhaps with the rest of the EU and East Africans.
This was a good result, she looked really strong. It might have faster if the pacing was good. It was supposed to be at 15:00 but Bush was running 15:25.
Wow! How many months of solid training has KT had since the months off with hamstring injury? Heading back to 8:35 fitness or FASTER this winter. That's when KT will really be 'back'. Sub 14:50 looks entirely possible.
