The field is so deep. Pryce is 😁 the favourite for god but the final 8 will be tough. There's so much talent, Paulino, Salwa, Adeleke, Kaczmarek, Anning, klaver, Holmes. I suspect only sub 50 makes the final and only sub 49 medals
USA will be lucky to have a finalist.

Between Pryce, Kaczmarek, Paulino and Adeleke, any county whose best athletes are in the mid-49s is looking at a longshot, including the US. It's a really strong field this year. Even if an athlete with a slower PB makes it to the podium, I'd expect it to be someone like Sada Williams, who has consistently overperformed in big tournaments, or Lieke Klaver, who has a ton of experience and keeps improving.

is Miller-Uibo fit?
Why? All 3 could make the final

How is Kaczmarek who is damn near 40 suddenly improving. Something isn't right.
She's 26. That's prime sprinting age.
There seems to be a 'Big Four' going into Paris, who will be fighting for the medals: Pryce, Kaczmarek, Adeleke & Paulino (in order of times this season..)
Pryce must be the favourite after the London DL, the big time faster than any of the other's PBs. It's also worth pointing out that the winning distance between Pryce & Kaczmarek was similar to what Paulino has had over her in their clashes this season. Does this mean Paulino is favoured over the Pole? Usually, yes, but, intriguingly, Paulino has only raced ONCE since May (her 49.20 SB over Kaczmarek). Why is this? Super heavy training? Injury? Something else? Come Paris that means she would have run one race in over 8 weeks. There is something concerning (fishy?) there. That doesn't seem optimal preparation at all, but we'll see.
Adeleke is the only one of the Big Four that has a PB in the 49s. She's peaking nicely, and if we assume Paulino is just healthy and primed, then I see Adeleke missing out. Originally I had Kaczmarek as 4th because I thought she was going backwards, but her PB in London was impressive.
Though she is a Championship performer, there is nothing to suggest Sada Williams will run fast enough to worry those 4. So there next 'tier' for me are Williams, Klaver, Anning &....not forgetting Naser. She could still surprise with something crazy.
After that there are a whole host of women who could make the final: the Americans, Nielsen, Jaeger etc.
As ever, it's going to be the SF line-ups that are crucial. Athletes need to win their heat and get a good SF draw. Already two of those Big Four will be in the same SF, so if you're in the next tier, you could find a couple of you in that too. That would be tough.
The other factor to consider is who runs in the mixed 4x4. Adeleke, Kaczmarek, Paulino, laver & Nielsen may all run in that event.
She certainly doesn’t look 40
