Not sure what her plan moving forward is but a win / fast time at 5th ave would be my main goal if I was her at this point and a fall/ winter of reassessing shifting toward a different event.

Not impressive. Third behind two nobodies and didn’t break 2:00. Fairly clear she didn’t belong on the USA Olympic team regardless of all her preconceived circumstances

Can she even get into the 5th Ave mile? Doubt it. Just stagnant at this point and sad that she needs to blame others for not making a team she had no business in being in in the first place. Easy to make these bold statements in hindsight. I just don’t think mentally she’ll ever get back onto that horse and be a top US runner.
If he's injured for the Olympics my God is that guy snake bitten
Mario Garcia Romo took a bad beating 3:35
oh lord what's happened to the Chicken Boy now? Romo is not having a hard go of it since indoors. I don't know what event Sage would consider switching to bc she was a total non-factor in the 1500 at the Trials and that event has really leveled up recently across the board.

Good thing she chose this meet instead of running the 800 in the London DL. That race is loaded!
Sage clearly has a listen-to-coach personality and ran 5 years at altitude under Mark Wetmore, if she was going to be a star in the longer distances, we would know already. Ritz overcooked her this year and needs to adjust. (Which is the case for all of his athletes, not just her.)
I think everyone is memory holing that she got 2nd at Monaco and several other DL meets in 2022. She has time to get back into that form. The 800m runners with short careers are the men that rely on 45/46 400m speed and lose it.
Meanwhile, Natoya Goule is 33 and running 1:59 still
