Today I was on a run and this guy stopped me, asked me if I ran track/xc and asked if he could show me something. Then he told me about this this technique he used personally that an African runner taught him that brought him down from a 2:04-1:59-1:57 (used this technique between these two races) —1:51. He told me he competed at the Olympic trials. Its a bit random but it was a good interaction I thanked him and then I finished up my run, but it made me want to see if anyone else ever heard of this
What is this technique? He said that what made him get so much faster was tying a rope to a pole or a tree and doing this movement like “double Dutch” with his arms and moving them in that way while running in place, so combing the two. He said as a supplement to normal training it’s what helped him get down to such a better time
anyone ever heard of something like this? Ever used it? Should I try it?
