I’ve been having some achilles problems the last few months which has made regular fast running nearly impossible. I have a 2:36 marathon PR off of 85mpw with 2-3 faster paced runs a week (around 6 flat for 5-10 miles).
I know it’s certainly not ideal, but I signed up for a marathon on October 13 a long time ago and was wondering how far off my marathon PR I would be if I were logging only easy miles (7:30-8 min pace) for the next 13 weeks but averaging 100-110 mpw until I taper (so 100+ for 11 weeks). I don’t really care what time I run, but curious if anyone has ever run a decent marathon on high(ish) mileage but only easy runs.
