Their plan is to broadcast everything live instead of keeping things off of NBC until the evening. During the evening show, they will repackage the best events and try to do so without spoiling it for those who haven't watched it live earlier.

Even when they ARE live, NBC has a terrible track record in track and field. In Atlanta 1996 they completely ignored the men's long jump, later saying, "Oh, by the way, Carl Lewis just won his fourth Olympic gold medal in the long jump."
Thank goodness for Peacock.

Way to stay on point.
There's plenty of world class athletes.
There's plenty of superb on-the-air performers.
But there are very few world class athletes that are superb on-the-air performers,

Let's see how true they stay to their word. I want to see every heat of every track event up to 1500M distances. NBC only shows the heat if there is a known USA athlete in the event. However, it has enough time to show every match of beach volleyball.
If you want to see every heat then watch Peacock track feed. They have done that past 2 Olympics. NBC is broadcasting to mass audience that give 2 rats' poops about non-US, non-major contender heats. They are trying to attract the largest audience possible and thus jump back and forth between sports or events.
