If you're an often-injured runner who can't spend as much time on the track as you like, you might end up doing a lot of lifting. TBH I've known 24-year-olds who look like that on a diet of cocaine and chicken wings.

He ended 2021 season with 10.56 PB. Slower than Elaine Thompson Herah. Now he's targeting Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake.

This is the entire Jamaican track history starting in 2008. SAFP was running 13s as a 17/18 year old. In the US, if you were passed the 10th grade you wouldn't even continue to compete in high school track and field as a female running 13s. Not even in Iowa or Indiana let alone California or Florida. 3 years later SAFP won gold. Even then she was running around 10.8s as PBs. Then somehow 12 years later she got faster. After having a kid, into her mid 30s. With a very disadvantageous body type. Elaine was a little better as a youth but she could go 2 years without showing up somewhere and winning but then win gold with near world record times. Being unable to stay healthy when you actually run a full season away from your home country is very telling. It's odd because if you look at the US greats, they all had high pedigree as high school kids and they were great from the day they started until they stopped. Of course Lewis, Gay, Gatlin, and Coleman all had their drug use issues but they're getting caught because the US is very restrictive whereas Jamaica is only getting caught at events and they've been caught a lot since 2007. Even SAFP failed for Percocet. Sharon Simpson, Blake, Veronica Campbell, Nesta Carter, and others. Even Bolt had a precarious progression with him setting the junior world record in the 200m when he was 18 then basically stayed at that PB for roughly 6 years. Ran a 10.09 100m in 2007 then 2008 ran the 9.69 and 19.32. It's insane for Kishane to have not been faster than Nkrumie not one year since Nkrumie was 14 and Kishane is 4 years older than him. 2023 was the first year when Kishane ran 9.85 and Nkrumie 9.99. MVP track club and Francis. The coach who looks like he couldn't walk a downhill 100m let alone run anything. Jamaica's head doctor said in 2013 that they were not testing their athletes out of season very well, if at all. 2013 was an interesting year too. The year Bolt became gettable. Then Yohan completely fell off. The women still had on years and off years. I think everyone is doing it but there are limits if you want to pass a test but in some nations where they live and die by the sport and the terrain is such you can get lost, seem to have found an extra gear since the beginning of the internet era.
For the record, America lost the sprints battle to the Jamaicans following developments in the 2000s.
These include, the brilliant idea to have the FBI and other law enforcement agencies literally beat a drug use confession out of Marion Jones, a lady who never failed a drug test even for once in her entire career.
Another was the shortsighted investigation of drug use in sports by the Republicans in Congress which largely revolved around sprinters and baseball players. Sprinter Maurice Greene was lucky to escape the inquisition.
These and other developments caused a loss of morale in the sprinting world, here as most athletes felt and still feel the system is designed to hang them out to dry even when the evidence of drug infraction is not fully established as in the case of Justin Gatlin.
One could spend time analyzing Kishane Thompson's progression chart all day, but the only takeaway is that Jamaica protects its own just as Norway and others do.
And when you shoot yourself in the foot, for whatever reason, be prepared for the consequences.

Half of this post is nonsense:
- The physical fitness of a coach means absolutely nothing, indeed many former elite athletes who are now coaches are also overweight (e.g. Leroy Burrell). Most of them don’t keep the same physique or even close, especially when they have families.
- You’re saying Bolt didn’t PB for 6 years in the 200? He literally set the WR at 21 and then again at 22. So that kind of discredits everything else you had to say for me
Mind you, Thompson doping would not be a surprise at all but it’s funny how shockingly bad people on this site’s reasoning tends to be.

Well...what are you waiting for? Did you decide to get drunk and pass out instead?
I listened to a podcast with Marvin Bracy the other day, he mentioned that he is 5'9 and his brother is 6'9. Sometimes you can get discrepancies within families.
