Apparently the course was accurate, too, according to someone I talked to that ran it. 4 different GPS watches had at least 3.1. The winning time for FootLocker North East was 17:13. Obviously a different course, but you get the idea.

assume this is a road race vs footlocker NE a cross race... impressive time but not even the same ballpark assuming the cross course is worth anything

She's got a World Athletics profile and you can find who I presume is her on milesplit, runs for or ran for a Lawrenceville School in New Jersey? A name to look out for this year.
I'm a parent of a 10 year old in track and attend lots of youth meets. That's really not mind blowing fast for a 14 year old.
The Van Cortlandt XC course runs close to minute slower than a flat road course. This runner is certainly quite talented, but hardly exceptional at this point.
