And this after having traveled across the Atlantic.
Monster.
Sprintgeezer the skeezer pleaser, let me ask you: does his physique strike you as a normal one, the type that can be gained through simple hard work and nutrition?
Yeah, he did it easily, while pulling away from Tebogo like he was standing still. And he let up, massively, and looked around.
Monster!
I'm saying it, this guy is in 9.7-low/9.6-high shape RIGHT NOW. We'll see if he can carry that to the OG, and if he can survive rounds. I suspect he will have no problem at all with the rounds.
Yes, his physique is fine. That is my physique, 100% clean, even well into my 50's now.
But of course, I never went 9.7 with that physique. I would point out that neither has anybody else, except for guys who were caught using.
The physique thing is over-rated. Such a physique is easily possible for some people, with work and dedication. What is IMPOSSIBLE imo is to then go out and run multiple sub-10 100 meter races ftw against international fields, WHILE LETTING UP AND PULLING AWAY.
Thompson will be a good test of the system, because he is so obviously juiced.
If he doesn't go down, we know the fix is in, in his case.
Lots of guys in the same position have skated, at least for a while.
This makes me wonder what the finishing times will look like in Paris. If conditions are decent, we can now expect a 9.7 from Thompson, but who else might get there, if anybody? Lyles might have a shot, and Kerley has already been there so he also has a shot. Omanyala could do it, in theory. Seville is close. I think other guys are just outside the range, but we'll see.
I watch this guy run, though, and he just SCREAMS injury blow up to me. The way he moves, and his size.....maybe he's proving that nobody could run with him, but a hammy or adductor fails on him, it won't matter.
And as I understand it, he has the history of injury, to boot. Maybe he blows up in the rounds, like in the Semis.

i get what u r saying. But, i think there is enough there physically to raise suspicion for some. What matters is whether he can pass the tests.

He will absolutely pass the tests. He’s done with his cycle and has no metabolites in his system or he wouldn’t be competing outside of Jamaica. He’s had all year to cycle with impunity in jamaica and has all the gains he needs to win the gold in Paris.

There are plenty of natural guys in the world with his build, but NO clean guy with that build is pulling away from a guy like Tebogo (or anyone decent) in the last half of a hundred. They are done by 50, maybe 60, but they are fast to that point. Pulling away after 60? NO WAY.

Nah, but he has now tapered far. Heck he might take something the night before the race. Yes, it IS possible…what actual benefit it has is something I don’t know, but I know it’s done.
So when is his next race? Maybe the London 100m? If I were him, I don’t think I would compete at all.

And then to a sub-10, to a 9.8x basic? lol
I somewhat disagree, his top end speed passed the beginning of the race reminds me a bit of Joseph Fahnbulleh, he seems to put a ton of force into the ground and pull away. I don't think having that type of force is necessarily indicative of doping, or at the very least there are others who have done what he's doing past 50.
