Gonna need more details than that, sport. Have you had an arthrogram? Do you know you have a tear? Do you have FAI?
First thing to try is PT. I PT'd my way through labral tears for 7 years before I eventually tore it more and opted for labral repair/FAI surgery. Nick Willis had it and won silver the next summer.

Arthrogram no, do I know, no. FAI no don't even know what that is yet. Went to a physical therapy and was diagnosed with hip Impingement. Have been doing the PT for about 4 weeks with no improvement. It was suggested to me by a knowledgeable former college CC coach and Olympic trials runner that I might be dealing with labrum issues.
Just trying to figure out myself before taking time off of work for any further diagnosis. That's why I asked about symptoms of labrum tear.
You need to see an Ortho and get an MRI arthrogram. It’s when they inject fluid into your hip to look at it better.
I dealt with FAI that led to a labral tear. However, the doc said many people have labral tears, but do not cause them pain. I think you are on the right track but need imaging done to see how bad it is.

Thanks for the advice. I read about having the dye injected. After 30 years of being a hobby jogger my days of thunder are over. Rather than put my body through any more pain I'll just ride it out for a couple months.
