She won't be contesting the 1500 in the future and I don't think she would stand much of a chance against the current crop of milers.
If she stays with the 5000/10000, she will need to contend with Monson (age 26), Kelati (27), Schweizer (28), Cranny (28), Valby (21), Morgan (26), St. Pieere (29), and possibly Henes (25) if she can get herself back from the lung issue.
If she goes to the steeple, she has Constein (28), Wayment (25), Markezich (23), Jennings (25), and Mitchell (24). Even without Frerichs (31), Howard (31), and Coburn (33), there are too many young lions coming up.
She might need to move on from the track and move to the roads and take a shot at the marathon.

You are not wrong, but i will die on the hill that Ritz absolutely sold her last years of speed up the river with his brainwashing to go to the 5000m.
i'm not saying she started on that team as a miler dynamo, but she was speed focused and motivated by that. look at her focus before joining that team, watch old youtube interviews of her from that era.
Hitlz and st.pierre are 29.
She could/should have put herself in the same position as Hiltz and St Pierre being a late 20's athlete that has banked the strength that comes with agr and experience but is still speed focused. instead Ritz put her out to pasture with all the eggs in the strength distance basket and it didnt work out at all. now its got folks like you rightly pointing to the inevitable roads decision, but what a wasteful way to end up there.
..and on? I don’t believed there’s much after 2025. Basically it’s over for her in terms of getting any faster or proving she can race well consistently. She can resort to being a pacer for a year and then wrap it up in terms of trying to remain a pro.
I remember George Beamish saying after his indoor 1500m championships that if you're moving to the steeple on the premise that its a soft event and you can't quite cut it at 1500 or 5000m, you won't get very far in the steeple.

Like the vast majority of distance runners, it’s unlikely she wants to do the steeple. Is making a steeple team, but not being competitive, that big of a payoff?

Her running a marathon, is ridiculous.
Agree. She went as far as she could. Not bad for someone who wasn’t a big deal in NCAA. Time to close the curtain.

Definitely levels to this, especially for the US.
Random 13:20 5000m or 3:38 1500m guy? Yeah you're probably not becoming a world beater steeple guy even if you have some hurdle skills.
Sub 13:05 or 3:35 1500m guy who just can't crack top 3 at US trials? Maybe you would have better luck competing with the steeplers instead of trying to gamble on beating guys with huge PB's over yourself.
US Men's Steeple is still super soft given that it's basically college guys and guys in their mid 30's barely hanging on who are running the show.
Why is it that people think that an athlete who is proficient a middle distance event can automatically just "do the steeple" as if that is all it takes. Steeple is a different animal. Having said that, should Andrew's try it, I wish her the best of luck.

Agree except… we all heard the adage, "Running is 90 percent mental and the rest is physical“. Unlike Hiltz, ESP and other top performers, Andrews never came close to the mental strength and confidence needed to be on top. The only races where she seemed to show any level of confidence were those where there were no major competitors or it wasn’t a critical meet. Basically you can train all you want but if you’re not as strong mentally as your competitors it’s over
