I’ve been struggling on and off with loss of coordination/runner’s dystonia in my left side for nearly 1.5 years. In the past 6 months, I’ve also been experiencing significant glute/groin/lower back/hip pain that moves around a lot, and sometimes shoots down into my calves. I’ve only been able about 6 weeks the past 6 months, but the remaining time I’ve spent on the arc trainer + elliptical as I have been unable to run either due to pain, loss of coordination, or a combination of both.
I’m getting desperate so I’ve had lots of tests done (all normal), and I’ve seen various specialists to try to resolve this. Although my problems haven’t cleared, no one struck me as a possible scam until this one chiro I saw this week.
Upon an X-ray and a brief verbal description from me, the chiro knows “exactly what’s wrong with me” and how to fix it - and I think the chiro has the same/one solution for everyone. My spine is out of place or something in multiple different areas, causing all of my symptoms. The chiro is adamant (almost scarily so) that they can solve all my problems over 28 adjustments over the next 4-5 months for $1,600 using the gonstead technique on this table thingy. They also said some weird things about the Covid 19 vaccine…which doesn’t sit well.
I’ve suffered so much that $1,600 would be worth it if it works, but this seems too good to be true. This has got to be a scam right?
