Cliff Notes:
- had surgery back in April for a torn labrum and other back issues.
- recently back to jogging/ walking
- said leading up to the trials marathon couldn’t even hit workouts he was able to in High school
- said he was always a sprinter in a distance runners body.
- once did 21 mile run strictly on Nike campus grass field.
- routinely does 20-26 mile treadmill runs
- could run sub 50 for quarters after running 1k repeats at 2:30 in his prime.
- 2012-2014 was his “ peak years”
- still believes he’s got some good marathons in him. Would rather run 2:10ish and win any day than run 2:03ish and not win.
solid listen. Never was a rupp fan but he’s grown up a lot. Even if his career is controversial.
