Wait, the self-appointed "protectors of democracy" are going to do a backroom deal with the delegates to appoint a new candidate at the convention? Will the voters have a say in who their candidate is?
You really think Kamala wants anything to do with running against Trump? Maybe Newsom would be up for the challenge? And what about the good governor of Colorado? I wonder if he would want to run? 🤔

You are forgetting the most obvious and qualifed replacement - Hillary. She's back!!
What kind of loser continually posts politics on a running message board? Do these people not have friends they can talk about this with? Are they so desperate that they have to post it on the running board? It's crazy when a grown adult is so desperate for attention that they have to do this.
The truth that trump lost a close and fair election? That Americans turned out in historic numbers for and against Trump?
only one side is lying about that Steve.
All you trumpets that think Biden couldn’t beat trump don’t get that it was NEVER about Biden. It’s about trump.
We hate him. I would vote for a straw over him. I would vote for toilet water before trump. So would 51% of all Americans.
I agree Biden won. I believe maybe 35-40% of all Americans would vote for anyone over Trump, but it’s not 51%. Some of the center left and right thought Biden would be better for the country in 2020. The debate changed that for most of that group.
Trump is going to win, unless they put Newsome on the ticket, and I’m not even sure that would change the outcome this late in the game.
"Sure thing?" Im not so sure. There are so many things in place, delegates to consider, time constraints, p.r. To manage, money committed...And Im afraid the Two Californians, though, as you say, likely, and viable candidates, are still Californians (my beloved state!) and theres a ton of baggage around that. They needsomeone new-ish, sharp, clean bill o health and record. Someone with brains, some looks, and skilled public speaker-for-gods-sake. Noone comes to mind. Pete? Well sure but...
First, he hasn't announced anything and he was sick. He did fine at the State of the Union address. Second, Republicans have been calling for him to step down for someone younger for years and now they'll savage Democrats for choosing someone else at the convention if he does? Third, the only reason they have wanted him to step down is that he is a formidable candidate who beat Trump by 7 million votes.
Not gonna happen. Biden is convinced he is the only who can beat Trump, because he did beat him. He conveniently forgets how mail-in balloting became the standard without a fight, every other bad thing about Covid that was hung on Trump (many of them manufactured by blue state governors), and the fact that he didn't really have to run a campaign last time. He is *not* a good speaker. But he does have a massive ego. Plus, part of him probably wants to stick it to the party. As he should, because they don't care about him and were ready to drop him *before* the debate. AOC, I hope you are paying attention. You're next.

What’s interesting about this election is now both candidates have actually done the job, so it’s a different ball game then 2020. The question is are you happy with the 2016-2020 presidential performance or are you happy with the 2020-2024 presidential performance? I would surmise many of those millions of “swing” voters are leaning towards 2016-2020.
