Eric Holt Finds Out He’s DQ’ed For Stepping On The Line In 800m Semifinal At Olympic Trials______________New Balance celebrates runners of all levels and sty...
And this was after they just gave him a special interview live in the stadium and he was talking about how great it was to make a final etc etc. crowd loved it.
Can’t say I saw anything during the races that stood out - I mean it’s the men’s 800m after all it’s a tough event in more than one way.
Just watched the replay and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the start. The only thing that might have gone wrong is he stepped into lane 8 on the turn. But even with video it looks marginal.
Update: talked to some peeps in the stadium who were at the start. Said they saw him step over the line. Probably because he was off-balance as they shot the gun. Basically ran in the wrong lane for a couple steps.
who cares...if you watch his race (I did 3 x) he actually runs so clean that he is passing out in lane 2 not to impair anyone. He ran well over 800m. Meanwhile you got Clayton's heat shoving and pushing all over the place and no dqs. This is bs. I hope they dispute this. What a shame.
The whole stadium bood when they announced he was DQd. What did we miss? Freaking love that guy.

But the outside line, right, so he ran farther? I think that's a recent rule change, at least at some levels (maybe only NCAA and it's always been a WA rule). That sucks.
If it’s not being still. You advance him. That’s a clerical failure to not stop the start. If it’s running over the inside lane, sadly it’s just a DQ. Outside line, I mean come on.
Puma got him signed to the sponsorship deal only to intentionally put him in spikes he’d never worn before so that he would lose his balance and step on the line. Holt has been sabotaged and rigged by the Deep State. Sad!
