She's a junior so obviously not a grad transfer. Why would she walk away?

What is the question? Stanford costs $90K is way too liberal for most.
Aren't those times, not very good? Like wouldn't contribute in any meaningful way at Stanford?

You think UF isn’t a liberal school? It’s not as liberal as Stanford but is by no means “conservative.”

Every top school is woke to some extent. Caltech and MIT are probably the least woke because of their engineering focus and academic workload - you can’t set up an encampment supporting hamas when you’re stuck in the library until midnight every night doing homework
She was pretty talented in hs, has multiple state records probably just wants a change

I love how the smartest school in the nation is "too liberal"
Yeah, sure, that's what happens when you put well-educated people together.
Theres already a thread on this. It has nothing to do with politics... Get out of your infantile myopic letsrun poster mentality for once in your lives. people do things for a variety of personal reasons. Stanford is a hard place to be if you are female and graduated in the classes of 22 or 23 and want and need development. and Im sure thats not even the sole reason anyway. Best of luck to her.
Most of the Stanford girls haven’t really improved maybe only a three and two of them are freshman. Her whole class besides the 800 girls has not improved in any distances.

I know a few high school girls faster than that...
Running her startup much more cost/tax efficient in FL #dollarsmakecents
Impossible for you to know a few.
Yes it is too liberal for most. This isn't a secret.

Really? You new to the sport, eh?
Florida is enjoying a rising reputation as one of the best public academic institutions in America. I would shake my head if someone left Stanford for NAU but, people shouldn't sleep on Florida: lower cost, outstanding network of alums, very respectable academics.

Who is the subject of this thread and is she really a “rising” junior?
She’s a girl from FL. Has 3 state records and top performances in mile. 16:16 5k in hs, 10:08 3200, 4:42 Mile, 16:40 xc 5k. Arguably one of the best high school distance runners from Florida ever.
Impossible f9r somebody to know a fee of them. I challenge anyone to name at least 3 that they know.
Well educated or well indoctrinated? And well educated in 2024 USA is definitely not equal to smarter.
These two schools are vastly different in terms of culture and future outcomes. One draws the brightest minds in the world, the other is an SEC party school. As for why she isn't progressing and wants to transfer? Who knows. Maybe she reached her peak potential in high school, or perhaps she's homesick, or maybe she couldn't handle the academics.
