All that hype about this kid in the semis and focus by NBC to get 6th in the final. He’s done well but gotta pump the brakes on this kid for now.
I don't think you need to be an Olympic finalist at 16 years old to warrant full pedal hype. No need to pump the brakes at all. Dude just got 6th at Oly Trials the same year he got his driver's license. If that's "devastated" then I'll take a lifetime of those devastations.

He dosent even have a license yet. He was focusing on the trials.

So you're saying he'll get his license in 2024. THIS year. The same year as.... ah nevermind. You're right. It was a dumb way to emphasize his youth. I should've come up with another milestone that occurs at 16.
The 400m is a race based on stamina and strategy. The pros practice it for years, and still struggle with how to run it. Quincy ran back to back 400's without any negative effects. All I will say, is that a few of these teen phenoms have recently tested positive for PED (performance enhancing drugs in meat!), and banned. Including Erriyon Knighton, who got a pass for some reason... But if Quincy runs the relay and is later tested positive, he will cause the entire team to be disqualified. Personally, I think he talks too much, and needs to be more humble.
