Takes a lot of confidence to use the US Trials as a rust buster and run 9.89 then 9.88 less than 2 hours later (those two early season meets in China were essentially paid workouts). I believe the 0.01 improvement in today's final came from his better start (his start was bad in the semi but much better in the final). My take is that he is not yet peaked and will run faster in Paris. His two consistent times today show good condition and stamina. I consider him one of the favorites in Paris. It will depend on his training but so far his new coach is doing a great job.

We are sending a really strong team in the 100m and with Kenny's improvement in the 100m, he is going to be a real threat for the podium in the 200m as well.

I am a fan of Kung Fu Kenny, quiet guy, just gets the job done. Lyles needs to tone it down a bit, he doesn't need to do all that crazy stuff, just run, you are one of the best.
Lyles is perfect just the way he is, he is bringing a whole generation back to watching track. I also like Kerley - down to earth, knows he is a lucky guy to being doing what he loves - and does it well. We are sending a strong team to the 100, there is no way three others are beating all of these guys.
