Just wondering as I start workouts for college, what are some good shoes for XC workouts like on the grass. Durable shoes that won’t get completely destroyed

Old pair of dragonflies
Definitely look for something low profile and firm for grass training. Sadly, there aren't a whole lot of shoes like that currently, as most have gone to a high stack height and squishy cushioning.... which are very poor for grass training.
Perhaps a low profile, light, firm trail shoe, like a Saucony Peregrine or Brooks Cascadia.
My favorite ever was the old Nike Waffle Trainer of the early 1980s!
Brooks Hyperion Tempo or Adidas Takumi Sen would both be great choices for dry grass surfaces
Old school type of flat (low stack, firmer) would be good for grass.
Altra Escalante Racer
Brooks Hyperion Tempo
Saucony Sinister
Nike Streakfly
dont use trail shoes
