"Banned for two years after testing positive for excessive levels of testosterone in 1998. The American's defense of 'five bottles of beer and sex with his wife at least four times' the night before giving the urine sample saw him cleared by USA Track & Field, but not by the IAAF. Now 38, he works as an athletics coach in Florida."
Given that Richardson ran 10.72 as a teenager at LSU 5 years ago, before her current coach, she should ask for her money back coz whatever he giving her besides training ain't working.
I must admit, I do get a visceral reaction seeing Dennis get praise. But we need to consider some things:
Sha'Carri before Dennis: 10.75 @ 19 y/o TeeTee before Dennis: 10.89 @ 23 y/o Melissa before Dennis: 10.82 (10.69w) @ 20 y/o
So their current performances are really not all that surprising and ironically if you hate Dennis so much I think the appropriate thing to do would be to not pretend like he has drastically turned these girls from nobodies to world beaters. They were already talented.
Accusations of chemical enhancement aside, DM's 100 meter team was mentally prepared to race as seen in their exit from the tunnel. Every one of them had game faces and walked with confidence to their blocks. I am not a DM fan and often blame him for relay debacles, but his crew was mentally prepped to race last night.
The fact the coach of the first 3 women in the USA 100m final is a drugs cheat isn't a great look for the sport, but doesn't seem to warrant a mention by most journos.

It means the athletes were doping before Dennis Mitchell too. The chose Mitchell as their coach because they want experience evading drug tests, with cycles, etc.
The fact that Ato Bolden speaks highly of Dennis Mitchell makes me question if Ato was actually clean. He did get popped for ephedrine but was only given a warning.

Even as an 11 year/12 year old child, Richardson showed extraordinary potential. I guess she was doping even at that age, huh. Some of you are darn weird.
every - successful - sprinter is on roids/hgh/sarms
every - succesful - long distance runner/cyclist is on EPO
I hate to think it, but it's probably true. Sad for that odd all natural also ran. And it would be entertaining if everyone were natural. But one person gets help and it changes the game to everyone needs to do it. I think we live in a microdose/gray area/shoes era. World records make the sport so compelling. I don't think we've come close to optimizing training yet even though we have come a long way.

Everybody that makes it to this level was that ability if they were doing track and field at that age so what is your point?
