Regardless of time as the heat went out slow, tuohy looked strong and controlled. Glad to have her back. Crazy her first race back is the Olympic trials!

Trial by fire but the key thing is that she is back competing.
The last girl to beat Parker Valby in college

“Back competing” as in competing from the back instead of the front?
(Btw I read your comment as that before seeing who posted it)
I think she is simultaneously in better shape than i thought she would be at thiss point and also gave me nothing to think she'll do better than her 7th last year. ESP and Cranny look like locks and Schweizer also looked quite impressive that last lap.
Incoherent but thanks I guess.
she looked really good. she fell way back at one point and I thought she was done but she surged forward and clung onto that 6th spot then seemed to find her legs again and finished strong.
The alleged 14:40s time trial rumor has been going around

yea I have been trying to figure out why someone might run a time trial that fast instead of jumping in a race and running say 14:52?
That has been a pattern. She lets herself fall off then races back.
Hopefully the hamstring is good to go. Honestly, if she just gets through this healthy it's a big victory and she can finally get her pro career going.

I think that poster was a Valby fan trolling
She looked stronger and better than Andrews. That’s for sure. Can’t wait until the finals.
Glad she is back! Was worried for her there for a moment when she seemed to fall off. At least she made the final. That is a win after such a long time out. Top 7 may be out of reach based on the results, but we will see.
2022 NCAAs she opened the first 3000m in 9:23.16 and closed the final 2000m in 5:55.23
2023 USATFs she opened the first 3000m in 9:07.45 and closed the final 2000m in 6:07.81
2024 Trials she opened the first 3000 in 10:20.37 and closed the final 2000m in 5:48.45
She did not look "good" at all. To only be able to close in 5:48 after a 3K jog at 5:31 pace is not "good" for someone who two years ago closed in 5:55 after opening a minute faster.
Where are all those people who predicted she would either (1) run the 14:52 Olympic standard in the prelims or (2) run fast enough to get a huge world ranking and get into Paris? 16:09 = 1033 WA points
Watching Tuohy whip Andrews butt made my day
Actually, Parker lost to Hilda O at NCAA 5K prelims this year.
Oh be still. It is her first race in 7 months after injury. Did the year go as she planned? Not nearly. But she is in the final. No one is beating St. Pierre. Karissa and Cranny this cycle. But coming ahead of Andrews and Infield was not bad at all.
She was right behind Ella (14:58 recent) and Rachel (15:03 recent) and right in front of Josette (no recent time) and Infeld(15:12 recent).
So potentially 15:05-15:10 shape? I’d say that’s pretty good for coming back from injury. Really hope she hits an altitude camp this summer/fall.

Shut up.
No one *predicted* she would run the Olympic standard. They were discussing hypotheticals.
Just making it to finals was considered a big deal.
