Sure seemed like it and the dude was pumped post-race.

Wow, it looks like you made it to Eugene.

Does he really need to run to make a living? Can’t he just contact Dos Equis and offer to promote their beer as The World’s Most Likable Man?
I bet be is one fun guy to party with
Can’t believe I drove rojo to the trials. Would have much preferred to drive Craig Engels and his beautiful mustache

The eye test on his races this year would indicate he is not back, but on the outside looking in.
Genuinely pulling for one of the nicest guys in track, but unless he's been playing possum, making the final is going to be a tall order.

Craig Engels is Back?
Checks notes...
Ran 3:38.69 to finish 3rd in his heat and 22nd out of 38 competitors.
For a former national champ, I'd say he's not back.
He's got a good chance to make the final. I think almost all of your readers would say that it would (still) be an upset of epic proportions if he were to make it to Paris.
Rooting for Craig. Dude brings a ton of positive energy to the sport.
Believing you can do it is 75% of the battle for a guy like craig. It's cool to see him excited.
It's also pretty clear that covid was a major reason for his low points in the last few years. Just look at the way he talks about 2021 vs this year. He lives for the crowd, the personal interactions, etc. Glad he can have that again.
It’s good for the sport for Craig to make the final. He was in a real low spot after that 4th place in 2021, great to see him back in good form

I don’t know what goes into having alternates travel to the games (or if it ever even happens), but it really is too bad he didn’t get to go in 2021 because the US ended up only running 2
Go mullet, go!

I was getting worried he wasn't gonna make it. I was thinking of setting up a gofundme page.
He has a couple days rest after barely making the final. What's the best he could do?
